Our client approached us with a brief to modernise and completely redesign the interior of their original Rothschild Art’s and Craft property in Buckinghamshire, and to design and implement a substantial contemporary extension to the rear boundary. The property is built in an attractive manner with high quality materials and impressive design features throughout.
The current spaces were cramped internally though, and not suitable for the two inhabitants to entertain and live in a modern environ. Our creative design team created a design which takes advantage of the existing rear garden, steep gable-end pitch, and original features to create a fantastic modern home which is nearing completion as of July 2017, with only the cantilevered study window and render remaining. The project relied heavily on a selective specification, clever interior design solutions and great architecture to open up the property to the rear garden whilst creating a place of solace through an opaque divison seperating the study from the open plan living area. A large minimalistic kitchen made with clean, solid materials emphasises the laterals.
