Construction has completed on a stunning modern extension to a detached 1920's period property for a private client in Buckinghamshire. We have distilled the Art Deco roots of the original property to allow us to design a contemporary aesthetic to create a truly luxurious home. STEM, Mayfair, 2018

Our team won planning permission and Listed Building Consent for STEM. STEM is a new restaurant opening in May 2018 headed by Mark Jarvis of Anglo and Neo Bistro. Cited between Oxford Circus, Regent Street and Hanover Square in London - it is a contemporary, high-end restaurant that has already made an impact on the London dining scene.

GRADE I LISTED ST LAWRENCE CHURCH

THE CONGREGATION APPROACHED COHANIM ARCHITECTURE TO DESIGN AND BUILD THE FIRST SIGNIFICANT INTERVENTION IN OVER 250 YEARS FOR THIS MAGNIFICENT GRADE 1 LISTED BUILDING. WE WON PLANNING PERMISSION FOR THE SCHEME IN EARLY FEBRUARY 2016 AFTER EXTENSIVE CONSULTATION WITH ENGLISH HERITAGE, THE NATIONAL TRUST, LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND THE DIOCESE OF OXFORD AMONG OTHER PARTIES. THE CHURCH WAS ORIGINALLY REFERRED TO UPON IT'S COMPLETION AS THE "MOST BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY CHURCH IN ENGLAND" IN THE ROYAL MAGAZINE.

GRADE II* LISTED ST BOTOLPH CHURCH

THE CONGREGATION APPROACHED US TO DESIGN A SENSITIVE INTERNAL SCHEME WHICH WOULD ADD CONTEMPORARY AMMENITIES TO THIS c.1100 GRADE II* LISTED BUILDING. WE WON PLANNING APPROVAL FROM THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES IN LATE 2016 ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT.

We work with our clients to create inspiring architecture. As a RIBA Chartered Practice, our team is passionate about designing informed and welcoming architecture. We design contemporary solutions, and we also work with historic Grade 1 and 2* listed buildings, in which we are proud to possess a 100% track record in achieving planning permission for on the first attempt. Our experience is primarily found in residential projects, commercial architecture and historical architecture – usually being Grade 1, and 2* listed buildings.

We offer, as an architecture practice, a committed end-to-end service, starting at the conceptual stage. We help define a precise project brief, and ensure that the project remains feasible whilst pushing the boundaries. We have a fantastic approval rate in planning permission stages with local authorities, and we seamlessly move into building control drawings to ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards.

Our experience spans some of the most prestigious listed buildings found within the United Kingdom as well as high-end contemporary one-off residential design. Our clients range from The Crown Estate, and other PLC’s, to many private home-owners and SME developers. We have successfully negotiated with The National Trust, English Heritage, dozens of local authorities, and ecclesiastical groups in favour of our clients.

ARCHITECTURE

The majority of the office workload is currently spent on around 8 significant projects; residential, religious and masterplanning schemes. The 2acre masterplan and development of Chesham Waterside, a site which spans approximately 2acres and 50 properties. Many homes within the scheme are ‘ultra contemporary’ and will prove benchmarks in modern living for Buckinghamshire. We boast of extensive experience in historical church architecture and are experienced in sensitively adapting these buildings to modern requirements that help the congregations.
