GRADE I LISTED ST LAWRENCE CHURCH

THE CONGREGATION APPROACHED COHANIM ARCHITECTURE TO DESIGN AND BUILD THE FIRST SIGNIFICANT INTERVENTION IN OVER 250 YEARS FOR THIS MAGNIFICENT GRADE 1 LISTED BUILDING. WE WON PLANNING PERMISSION FOR THE SCHEME IN EARLY FEBRUARY 2016 AFTER EXTENSIVE CONSULTATION WITH ENGLISH HERITAGE, THE NATIONAL TRUST, LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND THE DIOCESE OF OXFORD AMONG OTHER PARTIES. THE CHURCH WAS REFERRED TO UPON COMPLETION AS THE "MOST BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY CHURCH IN ENGLAND" IN THE ROYAL MAGAZINE.

EXTENSIVE CONTEMPORARY PROPERTY APPROVED IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

Cohanim Architecture have designed and won planning permission for a stunning modern extension to a detached 1920's period property for a private client in Buckinghamshire. We have distilled the Art Deco roots of the original property to allow us to design a contemporary aesthetic whilst retaining the original feel, creating a truly luxurious home. Our intelligent design solutions and market knowledge have allowed us to effectively double the properties current market value.

GRADE II* LISTED ST BOTOLPH CHURCH

THE CONGREGATION APPROACHED US TO DESIGN A SENSITIVE INTERNAL SCHEME WHICH WOULD ADD CONTEMPORARY AMMENITIES TO THIS c.1100 GRADE II* LISTED BUILDING. WE WON PLANNING APPROVAL FROM THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES IN LATE 2016 ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT.

Our experience is primarily found in residential projects, ecclesiastical and residential architecture (Grade 1, and 2* listed buildings), and commercial projects.

We offer, as an architecture practice, a committed end-to-end service, starting at the conceptual stage. We help you to define a precise project brief, and ensure the project is completely feasible. We have a fantastic approval rate in planning permission, and we will seamlessly move into building control drawings with your respective local council to ensure you are able to build to the highest standards. We monitor the project on-site ensuring the project is executed to the architectural drawings and the work is efficiently delivered by the contractors.

We serve and work in all counties within the South-East of the United Kingdom. This includes London, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. We have worked in many of the various towns and villages in the provinces, Gerrard’s Cross, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, Princes Risborough, Bledlow Ridge and Marlow among others. In London, we are very familiar with Mill Hill, East Finchley, Hampstead, Highgate, Hendon, SW1 and Muswell Hill.

ECCLESIASTICAL ARCHITECTURE

We are currently working on several prestigious listed churches in Buckinghamshire. The projects are based in West Wycombe, Bradenham and Hazlemere among other new emerging projects. We are very experienced in church architecture and how to adapt these buildings for modern requirements whilst helping the congregation navigate the various authorities.
