Local planning authorities (the respective "Council") are experiencing significant delays in their planning departments due to an increase in applications this year as well as reduced staffing in their respective offices. This is effecting our current timelines and schedules as negotiations are slower than they would typically be. We are working with dozens of authorities and these delays are being experienced almost across the board.
We continue to chase authorities on your behalf but must strike a balance between maintaining a positive relationship with the local authority and ensuring planning applications are determined in as timely manner possible.
It is imperative, if you are choosing to carry out works which require planning permission, that these delays are taken into account in your scheduling.
